Hedo Virgins - First Timers Report - July 4 - 8th 2018

Great report. You should have seen those rooms 10 years ago, LOL

FYI what makes the pool water so cloudy is mostly sunscreen incidentally. I talked to a guy at about 6:30 am many years ago that was flown in from Miami to repair the pump system in the pool. He said that pool has one of the best filtration systems of any pool in Negril if not Jamaica. He was quite convincing and knowledgeable.

Enjoyed reading your trip report very much and agree with so much, particularly your observations about the different types of guests.

We had read a lot about the rooms before our first trip and we were prepared. But we were living in China at the time and, well, Hedo seemed ok to us.

Most interesting reading about the dynamics between you and your husband, while you were there. Could relate.

We too are an interracial couple and sometimes don't know if that's why we get the stares (he says it's because she's gorgeous LOL). She's had staring creepers on the previous trips but it was the staff (but not bad enough to say anything to anyone in management).

We were worried about being approachable because of her RBF and much like your man he can appear to look "mean" even though he loves to hang out and talk to people LOL. We quickly learned that people will approach you and some of the friendliest people we've ever met go to Hedo! After Hedo we never want to go to another boring "normal" resort again!

Just a few more days until we are home! Thanks again for the great report!

I actively work against my RBF in general, like at home with my kids n stuff, so I was primed and ready to be smiley at hedo hahah. 3rd time's a charm! Enjoy your visit.
As for the staff creepers, I found the total opposite. I made buddies with most people I encountered, and one night....or early morning I guess... I was out with my husband and we were having a tense talk. One of the bartenders was passing by and gave a deep-voiced "is everything okay here" while looking at me with a concerned face for nonverbal cues. It was sweet and adorable and thoughtful, tho totally un-necessary. But I appreciated it so much. I loved the staff so much there. And they have got to be sick n tired of seeing crazy drunken naked people all day long lol. Hats off to em hahahaha

LOL ahhh sunscreen...that'll do it. So much for my naughty hypothesis!

Great report. One of the best I've read in a long time.
Glad you had a good time despite the neg items. The more I go the less those detractors take from my experience.
Sounds like you both understand why so many of us call it "Home."
