Where to get bottles for our room?

Sometimes it’s nice to relax with a spirit in our room. Plus we want to be able to be good hosts if the opportunity arises
What is the best place to grab a couple of bottles of wine (or rum!) to have in our room? We were thinking maybe the duty free at the airport? Is there a shop at the Montego Bay Airport? Is there a shop or convenience store close to the resort? Maybe even the gift shop?
What are the prices like at any/all of these locations?

your cab driver could do that on your way, but there is also a small corner store not very far from HEDO.
enjoy the sun, its a great place!

We will be taking an airport transfer as opposed to a cab.
We definitely will be enjoying the sun!! Can’t wait for that. But also looking super forward to some quiet time with my love as well.

There is bottled alcohol in the Hedo gift shop and the prices are normal resort prices...elevated but convenient. You can also just carry several drinks back to your room...

Oh great that the gift shop has some.
I know we could carry them back to the room but sometimes it nice not to have to go anywhere.

You can always wrap up bottles and put them in your checked bags. I do that every trip

airport has duty free shopping as you leave if you want to purchase some spirits, if taking tim air or airlink, you may have to put the bottles in your bags as they do security check also before you board plane, same returning back to mbj ( they go thru all your bags at negril airstrip ) , have fun!

We plan on buying some from Vancouver airport duty free shop or maybe Toronto airport since we’ve got a 4 hour stay there.

I thought about this but we don’t want to pay Canadian prices for alcohol!! I imagine we will just pick some up at the duty free in Mobay, I just wasn’t sure if they had a duty free (they do)

We always grab cheap cigarettes($32 per carton) and even cheaper coconut rum ($15 for a litre) makes great shots ....
As fellow Canadians, we really appreciate the convenience and prices. Duty free shop is small but well marked, can't miss it right after you get your luggage and are headed towards customs, you walk right past it.

Be aware that Jamacia has very very high duty on imported alcohol and it is usually quite a bit more expensive than north american prices. Ie Grey goose duty free 60 US.
