I'm sure we'll try to make it this year. We went on Memorial Day and it was a great way to start the summer. This year we're going to make an effort to go as often as possible.

Sandy Hook is a large Federal Park with several beaches, the last in the line is a clothing optional beach. It is in the Far New Jersey almost to New York. You can actually see the NY coastline from the beach.
The beach allows alcohol (just no glass containers). Once a year they hold Hedo Reunions there, were (we hear) many folks that visit Hedo and sometimes people from the resort show up for a weekend of fun in the sun.
We have never made one and last year we were going to go on the Sunday of the event and I even took the time to design, lay out, build and paint a lightweight, folding, portable bar to take to the beach for it, but alas.....
Hurricane hit that weekend and the beach was closed.
I had my scheduled changed for the summer with Wednesdays and Thursdays off, but trying to see if I can get off on the Sunday again to go this year.
I hear its a great party.

We wanted to go last year but the weather ruined it and this year we don't get back from vacation with the kids til the 25th...sucks we are going to miss it again!

Check the eatontown nj area, red bank nj area for Hotels doing really close to sandy hook except the Fairbank in Sea Bright.
