    when packing

roll your shirts and stuff or they get super wrinkled in transport.
zip lock all things that spray or contain liquids.

use your soles to pack smaller stuff to save room.
    remove all batteries from toys!

any other packing tips out there?
(not what to pack, but how to pack)

see all ya'll mid june ppl sooon!

back to packing. I just thought i'd post this for those who've yet to go and haven't packed before.

The "sailor's pack" works....(that's rolling your things.) The trick is to make sure before you roll them that they are as wrinkle free as you can make them. They'll survive better and you'll be able to pack more economically, leaving space for important things like floaters, mugs, etc.

Stuff a "dryer sheet" in between layers in your bag or in each ziplock if you pack in giant ziplocks in your bag as we do. Things will arrive at your destination smelling fresh and like "home".

I DOUBLE zip lock bag everything. The air pressure has wound up causing a few things to ooze out of their containers and ruined other stuff in the suitcase. It's worth it after hair spray leaked, and shed black dye from one dress onto a white top and it never came out!

Take half of what you packed out and leave it at home. You won't need it and everybody always takes more than they need.

I think that applies to the guys! I never know what slut wear I feel like wearing on any given day.

Yeah, but slutwear packs away to nothing so you can bring a *lot* of it. "That's not a bikini! That's dental floss and some pocket lint!"

I remember my first trip out of the country. My husband and I each had 2 suit cases plus a carry on each.

The second trip we went and bought 2 really large suit cases so we could each have 1 suit case each. We did this a few times.

    However,
Our last trip our luggage was lost.... So now our goal is to have 1 carry on each. NO CHECKED LUGGAGE.

It's amazing how much you pack and how much you actually use on vacation!

    Thanks for the packing tips!

What in the world did you need the bathing suit for?

We went through way more of our fun outfits/bathing suits than expected. other than that, a pair of shorts got us to Ricks and into the giftshop.

of course some people wore a lot more than we did to the piano bar, a guy might want a pair of shorts and a couple of nice shirts, but you can certainly get by without them.

We spent a lot of time researching what to take and it was helpful, lots of good sugesstions in these boards

    Woody,

All you need is to sit up front first night at the piano bar with a cowboy hat!!!!
